Our life-saving charity, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance (DSAA), provides relief from sickness and injury for the people of Dorset and Somerset, by the provision of an air ambulance service, with an air and road delivered critical care capability.
DSAA is a well-loved and respected charity, which relies on the generosity of the public to raise our operational costs of over £5 million per year. Our belief is that patients’ lives depend on us being there and the whole team is focused on making that happen.
**What we are looking for**:
**Main duties of the job**:
This is a key role supporting DSAA’s income generation. It is also invaluable in relationship building and stewardship management of the charity's relationships with trust and grant donors.
**You will**:
Use your knowledge of research techniques to produce business cases and engage stakeholders.
Produce compelling, high-quality funding proposals to support our work.
Participate in regular fundraising meetings, reporting and liaising on ongoing projects.
Acknowledge grant donations and work with the communications team to generate positive press coverage if needed.
Produce monthly reports for the Fundraising Manager that outline progress and achievements.
Undertake other duties that may, from time to time, be necessary and compatible with the nature and grade of this post.
**Person Specification**:
Have a passion for making a difference with an interest in fundraising for charities.
Have excellent organisational skills, including the ability to work on own initiative and to effectively manage and prioritise workload.
Experience of working confidently with people at all levels.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
Excellent oral communication skills with a high degree of diplomacy, empathy and confidence.
A team player who can work on their own and with others.
A passion for developing relationships and communicating the work of a charity through various communication methods.
Competitive salary: £40,000 FTE (£24K pro rata), 3 days (22.5 hours) per week
**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months
Part-time hours: 22.5 per week
**Salary**: £24,000.00 per year
