Job Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Read Coder in our busy yet friendly GP Practice

**Duties**:

- Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information acurately
- Review patient information for accuracy and completeness via a weekly audit
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and practice guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify information
- Maintain Child Protection List, updating and liaising with Health Visitors for regular Safeguarding Meetings
- Use IT systems effectively to input and retrieve patient information
- Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelines
- Medicines Management - Providing assistance to the Drs in relation to practice prescribing systems
- Summarising of Medical Records in accordance with practice guidelines.
- Scanning of correspondence through Docman
- Carrying out specified searches/audits for the Doctors/Practice Manager
- Providing support to the Doctors and Practice Manager
- Administration of the Pathology links
- Allocation of bloods every morning/afternoon
- Downloading Clinical Correspondences from Secondary Care
- Providing clerical assistance to practice and Trust staff as required from time to time.
- Supporting the Clinical Team and Practice Manager
- Provide reception support as needed

**Requirements**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Previous experience of Vision/EMIS clinical system
- Familiarity with Outlook for communication purposes
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and colleagues
