**Due to increasing business growth we are seeking to recruit a Finance Assistant to join our expanding team. You will support the day-to

**Main duties**
- Assisting with the efficient day-to-day running of the accounts function
- Managing sales ledger, including the creation of invoices and raising credit notes
- Managing purchase ledger, including inputting supplier bills and raising credit notes
- Raising purchase orders and managing the process
- Manging and raising queries both internally and externally
- Cash collection, reconciling statements and managing cash flow
- Supporting the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties, including ownership of specified control account reconciliations
- Preparing relevant balance sheet reconciliations and follow-up issues with relevant stakeholders, including highlighting issues to senior management
- Providing financial and management information to support management decision making
- Posting of monthly journals to include prepayments & accruals
- Understand, prepare and explain variances against budget/forecast
- Ensuring compliance with all company financial controls
- Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
- Providing ad-hoc finance support and cover as required
- Monitoring the mailboxes to provide support to Clients, Suppliers and Colleagues

- Experience in actively participating in a team environment whilst demonstrating the capability to work independently
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload
- Motivated and takes own initiative
- Ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
- Excellent analytical skills
- Sound commercial acumen
- AAT Level 3 or above or equivalent accountancy qualification level
- Experience working in a finance role with knowledge of accounts functions
- Prior experience in supporting the preparation of management accounts
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent IT skills
- Knowledge of accounting systems like Xero
- Experience in using Simpro and Facilio

ISO:45001, ISO:14001, and ISO:9001 requirements.
- To report immediately all accidents involving injuries and illness verbally to your immediate superior and a First Aider and make or have made on your behalf, an entry in the Company’s Accident Book.
- Never to interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interest of health, safety or welfare.
- Never to use any machinery, work equipment, dangerous substance, transport equipment, system of work or safety device unless you have been authorised to do so and then only in accordance with any training received by you and any instructions provided to you.
- Never to perform work you are not qualified to do or have not been properly trained for.
- To inform the Company immediately of any work situation which you reasonably consider represents a serious and immediate danger to health & safety or represents a shortcoming in the Company’s

arrangements for health & safety.
- To report to the Company any medical condition you have and any medication or substance you are taking which could affect the safety of yourself or others.
- To seek medical treatment for all injuries you sustain (no matter how slight they may appear).
- If required to complete and submit or have completed and submitted on your behalf, An Accident

Report Form.
- If required, to co-operate fully and promptly with any accident investigation carried out by the

Company.

Location: Theale office and home
Full time: 40 hours per week

**Salary**: £30,000
