Within our Policy, Advocacy and Programmes department, our Humanitarian Programme Quality and Assurance Specialists work closely with ActionAid colleagues and sponsors around the world in ensuring that donor-funded programmes are managed effectively and improve the lives of women and girls.

This role will utilise your existing humanitarian grant management and donor knowledge to support ActionAid’s delivery of multiple projects in line with the Core Humanitarian Standards Group Verification process. Typical Donors could include: Start Network, DEC, FCDO; and grants can range between £500,000 to £5,000,000.

To be successful as our Programme Quality and Assurance Specialist, you must be able to demonstrate a high level of competency in managing relationships and negotiations with donors and partners; along with the ability to build a rapport with a range of individuals.

As a PQA Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in multiple, international projects and be supported to develop your grant and financial management skills. You will be at the forefront of driving funding towards innovative work and projects seeking to bring about change through feminist and decolonial approaches, supporting women and girls around the world.

**The postholder will be expected to travel frequently to support programme implementation and response, sometimes at short notice, and to post-disaster environments or areas of insecurity.**

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality.

**Duties**:

- Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to perform quality checks on products
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that products meet company standards
- Work with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues
- Conduct audits of production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards

**Skills**:

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem-solving skills
