This position within our credit control team is key to the continued growth of our functional ingredients (FI) business, with a primary focus on managing existing and supporting the onboarding of new accounts to expand further into the infant formula market globally.
The remit of the role is more than solely debt collection - you will have exposure across the entire O2C process, you’ll work closely with the commercial teams, work towards resolving customer queries, and set up new client accounts.
Your remit as a credit controller (internal job title of coordinator, credit control) will not just be within FI as there will be opportunities for you to support colleagues in other areas of the ledger in a team-focused environment. You’ll also have the freedom to manage your customers in the way that suits the relationship best to ensure we are reaching targets.
We have made changes to facilitate the unique requirements of this expansion, and we foresee an ongoing evolution of your remit and processes, with the opportunity for you to collaborate with other teams and bring ideas to the table to influence further changes to add value to our ongoing process streamlining activities.
We’ll be looking for you to bring prior experience in a similar role within a product-based business, where you will have some knowledge of the supply chain, export requirements, INCO terms and processes.
SDUK's brands include the Nation’s favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly, Wensleydale, and Sheese), functional ingredients and dairy-free products.
YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY
- Assessing, preparing and creating new client accounts, ensuring high-level of accuracy.
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, working to drive collaboration activities.
- Working closely with commercial teams, and leading meetings to maintain visibility of new customers and control of orders and requirements.
- Collecting cash and work towards supporting the on-going success of achieving the department’s KPIs.
- Resolving delivery and price queries.
YOU’RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE
- Experienced within a credit control position within a manufacturing-/consumer goods-based environment (ideally with overseas customers and working with multi-currency).
- Experienced working with and challenging sales/commercial teams.
- Knowledgeable of exports, letters of credit, and INCO terminology and processes.
- A team player with a hands-on approach to supporting others when required.
- Target-driven and able to work towards KPIs and tight deadlines.
- Experienced working with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Someone who takes pride in having great attention to detail, problem solving, and time management abilities.
- Experienced setting up new business accounts,
- A driven and confident communicator.
- CICM part/qualified (not a prerequisite).
