**Job Description**:
The role holder will lead the establishment of Wood Mackenzie’s Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) programme, incorporating our existing Thrive programme. Thrive is an established cultural programme, made up of our Wellness, Community Engagement, Sustainability and Inclusion, Diversity & Belonging programmes; the ESG lead will augment Thrive where needed to match our brand purpose_, ‘transforming the way we power the planet’. _

The role will develop an ESG strategy for WoodMac as an independent business, working in partnership with different functions across the company, including Marketing, Legal, and Human Resources.

Our existing Thrive programme comprises much of the E and S in ESG; it is a global, employee-led programme that has been at the heart of how we shape what it means to work at WoodMac. Since its inception, the programme has shaped the culture and environment to allow us all to thrive.

We are looking for someone passionate about ESG, culture creation, and sustainability, who has the commitment to deliver an internal and external programme that reflects WoodMac’s unique strengths.

The role is an excellent opportunity for an ESG professional looking to make their mark on a fast-growing company; working across our offices and functions, collaborating closely with the GE and our leadership team to make a difference and to enable our brand purpose.

**Responsibilities of the Role**
- Design and deliver an ESG strategy for WoodMac, including analysis of competitor and industry-leading ESG programmes
- Lead and evolve the Thrive programme to achieve our ESG ambitions
- Develop customer-facing materials for pitches, RFPs, and contractual submissions, for example EcoVadis ESG score
- Work with our Brand, Social and Comms teams to maximise the impact of our ESG efforts for internal and external audiences
- Manage the ESG budget, including adoption of third party providers to enable faster and more impactful ESG outcomes
- Own our partner relationships in the ESG space (e.g. ALLY, WIMAR, Edinburgh Science, OGCI etc)
- Coordinate with Marketing on our CSR report and any other relevant disclosures
- Coordinate with HR and Finance on our pay gap, equal pay and self-ID studies, and any associated disclosure
- Coordinate with Sustainability Thrive group and Finance on our emissions reporting process and disclosure

**Qualifications**:
**Knowledge & Experience**
- You are an experienced leader, having worked in ESG or ESG-equivalent roles
- You have experience managing multiple stakeholders, all the way to Global Executive level, addressing competing requirements and delivering necessary compromises
- You have a natural inclination to collaboration and relationship building internally and externally across global networks in equal measure.
- Your leadership style fosters commitment, accountability, empowerment, and excellence in those you work with, that are aligned to business priorities.
- You are passionate about developing others, building a diverse and inclusive environment in which people thrive. You have a proven ability to work across regions and cultures
- You have a willingness to travel as necessitated by the role
