**JOB PURPOSE**

UK for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency's national charity partner, is looking for a dynamic Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer - New Business to join the Private Partnerships & Philanthropy team. You will be joining the charity at an exciting moment, becoming part of a small but high performing Corporate Partnerships team of five.

This is primarily a new business position, within which you will be tasked with developing new, deeper relationships with a number of high profile companies, many resulting from the unprecedented private sector response to UK for UNHCR’s Ukraine emergency appeal. In addition to this, you will research and build a pipeline of potential new high value corporate partners, using your expert knowledge of prospecting and approach strategies.

You will enjoy developing strong relationships and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will be a confident communicator with a track record of meeting and exceeding financial targets. You will be both creative and resilient in your approaches to companies.

**WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO**

United Kingdom for UNHCR is the United Nations Refugee Agency’s national charity partner for the United Kingdom. We generate public awareness of the plight of refugees and raise funds to help protect them through UNHCR’s humanitarian operations across the world.

Our supporters include UK private individuals, communities, corporate partners, trusts and foundations. The funds we raise help UNHCR deliver emergency relief such as shelter, medical care and basic supplies to people fleeing conflict and persecution, as well as healthcare, education and livelihoods opportunities for those who remain displaced over the long term.

Nobody chooses to be a refugee, but we can all play a part in their protection and we want those who work with us to share our values and passion for the cause.

**Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging**

UK for UNHCR is proud to have an Inclusion Network as well as a Diversity & Inclusion Working Group. Our Inclusion Network team work to create safe spaces that brings colleagues together for events, discussions and learning experiences that celebrate and support diversity and tackle barriers to inclusion. The Diversity & Inclusion Working Group is a group of colleagues focusing on tasks that drive action in the implementation of our D&I (Diversity & Inclusion) Approach.

We are also open to flexibility in many different ways, including an element of working from home and flexible hours. Please don’t be afraid to speak to us about this at the interview stage, so we can explore what’s possible.

**ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES**
- Develop a pipeline of new corporate prospects; research and identify strategic alignments, and implement tailored approach plans to secure multi-year and six-figure commitments.
- Manage the development of recent medium-to-high value corporate supporters of UK for UNHCR, building an understanding of their priorities and objectives, to secure repeat donations.
- Recognise and place importance on all forms of private sector support in approach plans, including financial, in-kind donations, pro bono, visibility and advocacy, to secure high impact holistic partnerships.

- Remain flexible and quickly respond to emergency situations, identifying and responding to fundraising opportunities.
- Work across the Corporate team and with the Events Manager to create a calendar of cultivation and stewardship moments.
- Collaborate with UK and international Private Partnerships & Philanthropy colleagues where possible to strengthen engagement with partners and prospects across channels and geographies.
- Work within UK4U’s due diligence policy and GDPR policies and processes.
