This is an exciting time to join YMCA England & Wales. We have launched three high value, multi-year corporate partnerships in the last 18 months and there is huge potential to work with YMCAs around the country to build engaging propositions, to create both national and local impact. This is a role where you will make a big difference to thousands of young people.
You will be passionate about raising money to support young people and will develop and implement significant funding relationships and build exciting new funding propositions, linked to our overarching Federation Strategy.
We are looking for a corporate fundraising officer to join the YMCA England & Wales Strategic Partnerships (high value fundraising) team. The role will aim to maximise income from the corporate sector for YMCA England & Wales in conjunction with c.85 local YMCAs, who are delivering direct work in their communities. Ranging from small community-based organisations to nationally relevant specialists, YMCA is the largest youth focused charity in the country, and largest provider of accommodation for young people; providing a home for more than 18,000 young people every year.
Reporting to the Corporate Partnerships Manager, in this role you will make a significant contribution to the development and delivery of the corporate fundraising function. You will have excellent commercial awareness, strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
This role requires 1 day a week working from our head office in London(Barbican) along with any other required days.
Some key areas will include:
- Demonstrable track record in achieving income from corporate partners
- Experience of creating engaging cultivation opportunities and funding propositions to engage prospective funders
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships, negotiate, persuade and influence others
- Excellent knowledge of the regulations and legal implications around charity/corporate partnerships
