Sizewell C has just been given government backing and will be the next most significant piece of energy infrastructure to be built in this country.
- We need an enthusiastic and organised person, or people, to provide support and administration for us as we regulate what will become the biggest construction project in East Anglia, for a lifetime.
- Working with the project manager and colleagues, you will be the administrative hub of our response to this new energy infrastructure and a lynch pin for all programme support.
- Duties will include:
- Acting as day-to-day single point of contact for the team
- Liaising and communicating with the national EA NNB Programme Office
- Providing secretariat services, including Organising and arranging meetings, producing action and meeting notes
- Day to day management of the project filing systems and shared drives, and active physical and electronic records management.
- Logistical support, arranging travel, transport and accommodation
- Assisting the team leader track Health, Safety & Wellbeing commitments
- Tracking and reporting on carbon reduction commitments.

The post is full-time although requests for other work patterns will be considered. A job-share is an option, where this arrangement would bring the right skills and experience.- The Environment Agency take part in incident response. Our new Inclusive Incident Management Policy has been developed to support all new starters to find an incident role to suit their individual needs and circumstances. Full training will be provided. - We are a team of specialists focused on gaining the best outcome for the Suffolk environment during the construction phase of a proposed new Nuclear Power Station at Sizewell.
- Working together with other colleagues we offer advice and monitor compliance with ecological mitigation requirements for the construction and operation of the proposed power station.
- This includes consultation, advice and ongoing dialogue with the developer, other regulators, members of the public, and local stakeholder groups.

Experience/skills required
- It is essential that you will:
- be familiar with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint Online and OneNote.
- have well developed verbal and written communication skills and enjoy working with a wide variety of people.
- be resilient and persuasive, with the ability to deal with challenges and questions confidently.
- be communicative, approachable, resourceful and able to prioritise competing demands.

It will be helpful, but not essential, if you have some knowledge of the EA’s regulatory and advisory role, and the legal framework in which it works.- We can support you to develop knowledge in any areas with which you’re less familiar.
- There are fully funded opportunities to develop further academic/professional qualifications.
