Requirements

  • Demonstrable project management success on delivering utilities (power, natural gas, portable water, foul water, telecommunications) solutions in respect to new connections, disconnections, diversions, and protections within a technically complex and dynamic environment while ensuring high levels of safety, security, and environmental.
  • Working knowledge of service avoidance and Safe digging practice, in accordance with HSG 47.
  • Demonstrable thorough understanding of utilities Builder Work in Connection (BWIC) and CDM regulations.
  • Comfortable in the coordination of multi-disciplinary teams made up of designers, contractors, internal and external stakeholders, local authorities, and community liaison representatives.
  • Ability in making sound decisions based on understanding of project criticality and best for project outcomes.
  • Experience building lasting client relationships and leading strong, motivated teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Membership of RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Substantial experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programs in the utilities sector.
  • Property or infrastructure project management expertise.
  • Commercial and financial acumen.
  • Experience of leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams.
  • Experience of developing and forming relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
