The Human Resources (HR) Department within Liverpool John Moores University has evolved significantly over the past few years, supporting the university through an integrated strategic business partner model. We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join as an HR Adviser, a newly created role within HR Business Partnering team.

This is an interesting time to join the University as we seek new exciting ways to deliver real change to our employees based on our 2023-2030 People Plan. You will work closely with the Head of HR Business Partnering and a team of HR Business Partners to deliver and enhance the service. You will offer quality professional HR advice, ensuring compliance with employment legislation while aligning with university policies and procedures. You will support the effective implementation of key HR initiatives and projects with a particular focus on supporting the team with employee relations casework and initiatives to reduce sickness absence across the organisation.

To be successful, you will have significant experience of providing HR advice and support to line managers and experience of utilising HR systems to produce management reports including analysis of HR data. You will be dealing with a wide cross section of people across LJMU and therefore an ability to build rapport and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders is essential.
