**How much? £30,000 - £40,000 doe**

As Senior Finance and Payroll Assistant you are to prepare the monthly payroll, to ensure records of new starters and leavers are correct. To manage all aspects of payroll function, advising on payments for HMRC, pensions, P11D, and all other reasonabletasks associated with payroll.

You will assist the Finance Manager, Assistant Management Accountant and Senior Finance Assistant with a variety of accounts administration duties, supporting all Company business objectives and service delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**: Payroll
- Processing Company Payroll on a monthly basis
- Making sure all new starters and leavers are treated correctly
- Making sure any payroll adjustments are properly recorded.
- Record keeping and online returns to HMRC.
- Monthly PSA records including annual reports and filing
- Annual P11d expenses and benefits returns.
- Calculating accounts journals in respect of monthly payroll.
- Managing the Auto enrolment pension scheme.
- Working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure all payroll liabilities are paid on a timely basis and compliance regulations are met.

Finance
- Understand the role of the Finance Assistant in respect of sales and purchase ledger to be able to cover when necessary.
- Ensuring correct processes are followed for all accounting procedures.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts and fuel cards.
- Preparation of weekly payment run.
- General credit control practices, raising invoices and debtor chasing.
- Record keeping and preparation of HMRC/CCS returns for finalisation by the Finance Manager.
- Manage and resolve day to day queries within the department.
- Assist with the auditing of credit card statements and report findings to the Finance Manager.
- Be responsible for contributing and achieving the business objectives.
- Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.
- Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
- Establish and maintain good communication and liaison between management team and other employees in the Company.

**Skills and Experience**:Essential**:

- Ability to present information clearly and concisely
- Proven Payroll experience to include all aspects of payroll and payroll processing.
- Proven all round Finance experience.
- Proven organisational skills
- Excellent numerical skills
- Incredible attention to detail
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Self-prioritise workload according to the business needs
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
