As our CEO you will provide inspirational vision and leadership that delivers services to those living with the reality of domestic abuse and those trying to recover from those traumatic experiences across the life course. Oasis has been on a steep growth trajectory, and you will help us navigate the current stage confidently, embedding and updating systems internally that maintain our clarity of action and the wellbeing of our teams. Your compassionate attitude will maintain our high levels of staff retention, dedication and low absence rates and committed service provision into the future.

You will make sure the spotlight remains on the causes and consequences of, and the recovery from, domestic abuse, as well as seeking to grow preventative services that will continue our history of being a thought leader in the improvement of these vital services, resources and outcomes in Kent & Medway, crucially continuing to provide high-quality, risk focused but holistic accredited support.

You will make sure that those who experience this issue are placed at the heart of everything the charity does, in pursuit of our mission: To make sure anyone can get the support they need, when they need it, no matter what.

It is particularly important that we are reaching and involving more people from Black, Brown & minoritized communities and you will be a driving force for re-developing our AJEDI (anti racism, justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion) commitments post-pandemic, making Oasis a truly diverse and inclusive organisation. Our diversification has included delivering the first male IDVA service in the County many years ago, whilst remaining committed to female only spaces across our accommodation. We employ men in appropriate roles, but have a commitment to maintaining females in senior roles

Working collaboratively with senior leadership and board colleagues you will act as a figurehead for the charity, a powerful ambassador with commissioners, the media and the public as well as a positive and empathic leader and role model for service users, colleagues and volunteers. You will also play a key role in driving innovation whilst ensuring completion of existing projects, sustaining best practice, harnessing digital approaches and data to increase our impact, and bringing creativity, ambition, and an appreciation of our successes to all colleagues.

And as we grow, you will ensure we do so in a way that reflects our growing commitment to being a sustainable and environmentally friendly charity that considers the impact of our activity on the world around us and makes socially responsible choices within our work.
