**Volunteer Homeless**
**Recovery Worker** who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

**Where**: Ealing

**When**:

**Hours**: Max 22.5 per week (3 days a week)

**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:

- Support the Rough Sleepers DAT team to engage and support individuals who are experiencing homelessness and have multiple needs/substance misuse
- You will be working alongside the team, responding to referrals, targeting known locations within the community
- Actively engaging and building a positive relationship with people who are rough sleeping/experiencing problems with substance misuse.
- Carry necessary supplies such as food, paperwork and other provisions
- Provide confidential, easily accessible, non-judgmental advice around substance misuse,
safer injecting overdose and what to do in an emergency
- Support rough sleepers/service user by signposting and advocating for them to access
support, being a central person between them and other services

- Ability to work with professional boundaries
- A non-judgmental attitude
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to work some unsociable hours
- Polish and Punjabi speakers are encouraged to apply
