**Centre of Excellence (COE) - Technical Leader - NOI & Varco Drilling Equipment - Mechanical & Hydraulic**

**As a COE Technical Leader within NOV Technical Support, your role will be integral to the team for consultation and guidance. Utilising your skills and knowledge, you will lead a 24/7 globally located technical team to provide remote troubleshooting support, recertification/ reactivation scope and in depth root cause analysis for NOV Drilling Equipment.**

**With guidance and support for the Technical Manager you will be provided the opportunity increase your knowledge base of the Industry and the NOV product suite, as well as working closely with the NOV product engineers providing field feedback and continuous improvement opportunities.**

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Providing technical guidance & support to our Customers and Service Department relating to NOV products and services
- Responsible for ensuring data in tracking system is accurate and up to date
- Interface with Customers, participate in customer meetings where needed and internally with the Sales, Engineering, Workshop and Project Departments
- Ensure job documentation is processed in a timely manner and ensure prompt and satisfactory job closur.
- Perform formal feedback to Product Engineering of global product or component performance and reliability related to design, maintenance, or operations
- Perform product notification review (PIB, PIN, etc), plan for release and supporting implementation
- Prepare reports with damage assessments and recommended corrective/maintenance action based on customer provided information and data retrieved from the NOV logging or monitoring systems
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) with use of common methods such as 5WHY’s and Fishbone to identify root causes and opportunities for improvement

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Technical/Engineering Apprenticeship to include HNC or equivalent (essential)
- Technical diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience (essential)

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Relevant work experience (essential)
- Field experience as Lead or Supervisory role (desirable)

**SKILLS, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE**:

- Computer literacy (including good command of MS Office Excel, Word and Outlook) (essential)
- Ability to read & Interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic drawings (essential)
- Deep knowledge in one of more technical disciplines: mechanical, hydraulic, electrical or controls, as well as deep understanding related to design, operations, and maintenance of specific families of NOV Rig Systems equipment (desirable)
