**OVERALL JOB PURPOSE**

To organise, establish and support employer engagement:

- Facilitate employer meetings, events, visits (in person and virtually) and their scheduling.
- Produce labour market information/ Industry/ Sector/ Employer/ Role Information applicable to our graduates and staff to support careers information learning.
- Support recruitment process for students and alumni
- Facilitate careers information learning by producing Industry/ Sector/ Employer/ Role Information
- Enable knowledge transfer between the Faculty/ University and Industry (Employer Advisory Groups)
- Accurately track applicable metrics and data to enable the efficient running and evaluation of the service

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Employer Engagement**:

- Organise, advertise and facilitate online and face-to-face employer meetings, visits, events (internal & external).
- Work with Employability Team members to provide effective administrative support for events and activities focused on careers and employability, leading on events involving external contacts.
- Raise awareness of employer activity across university staff
- Advertise vacancies for graduates, drafting and placing adverts.
- Communicate with employers through a range of media
- Work with the Employability Team and other colleagues to effectively establish, promote and deliver Industrial Information programmes (Currently: Industry Exposure, Lecture visits)
- Liaise with external contacts/ employers, as directed by the Head of Employer Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships internally and externally creatingandfostering a thriving community.
- Using graduate databases to match the right graduate to the employer’s vacancy

**Administration and data management**:

- Maintain and expand an external contact database
- Administer the scheduling of employer contacts, bookings and sessions
- Establish and maintain our employer-facing presence through various social media channels
- Produce reports to track and analyse employer events and engagement
- Ensure measurement of success and key KPIs, monitoring and evaluating performance on a regular basis
- Ensure that systems and processes used to capture data and record engagement are GDPR compliant
- Advertise opportunities, job roles and events via various channels.

**Student support**:

- Address general student and alumni queries as part of wider employability team and signpost to other professional services when needed
- Collaborate with Careers Team to deliver successful recruitment process, offering student and alumni support as agreed.
- Support wider Employability Team as and when needed.

**EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**

**ESSENTIAL**
- Honours degree

**DESIRABLE**
- Master’s degree

**EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**

**ESSENTIAL**

Events / Employer Engagement experience

Data management.

**DESIRABLE**
- Working in an Employability and/ or careers service
- Coordinating and hosting virtual or in person events
- Experience of working with employers/ Industry representatives.
- Experience building networks.
- Experience of working in a post-92 HE environment

**KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS**

**ESSENTIAL**
- Excellent administrative andIT skills to enable accurate communication, digital record keeping and data management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good listening skills to be able to make connections between people, their observations and how this may have wider impact.
- Professional and well organised, with excellent attention to detail and a flexible approach to work
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
- Student-centred approach, with enthusiasm for transformative higher education
- Ability to address priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members across the university to make connections with alumni and develop and enhance our alumni services

**DESIRABLE**
- Excellent knowledge of employability/ careers and alumni engagement and services
- Customer relationship management
- Excellent knowledge of data protection (GDPR)

- Willingness to travel between university locations

- Adaptability and flexibility to cover events and activities during evenings and Saturdays on occasions
