We provide reliable delivery services to caterers of all kinds, enabling our clients to focus on their core business.

**The role**

Food Republic are looking for a capable and skilled Night Shift Supervisor to work within the Night Shift team to ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage, retrieval and dispatch of goods, to and from the warehouse. They will support the Night Shift Manager in facilitating the smooth-running of the department, operating within Health and Safety, and company policies and procedures.

The key responsibilities of a Night Shift Supervisor include, but are not limited to:

- Picking and packing chilled and ambient goods
- Basic invoice processing
- Loading and unloading goods from delivery vans and/or lorries
- Keeping up-to-date and accurate records of any damaged, missing or faulty goods
- Moving goods to the correct locations in the warehouse, either manually or using mechanical equipment
- Ensuring that any variances are investigated and a conclusion is reached before the end of the shift
- Communicating with other departments within the company
- Communicating with Food Republic suppliers and customers
- Ensuring quality and delivery objectives are met
- Delivering and fulfilling objectives and directions from the Shift Manager, as well as the Warehouse Manager
- Completing all tasks in line with BRC, Health and Safety, and company policies and procedures
- Taking on the responsibilities of the Shift Manager in their absence
- Any other duties as required

**The Person**

The key skills and qualities of a Night Shift Supervisor include, but are not limited to:
Essential knowledge/experience:

- Experience in a warehouse environment
- Experience supervising a team
- IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Fluency in English
- Strong communication skills with the ability to delegate tasks
- A flexible attitude and capable of performing well under pressure
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate their team
- A quick-learner who can adapt to changing demands
- Physically fit and can lift moderate to heavy weights

Desirable knowledge/experience:

- Experience working in a warehouse within the food industry
- Experience managing a team
- Driver’s license
- Forklift license
- GCSE Maths and English (A* - C)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
