We are looking for a team player to join our department as a Senior Research Support Administrator. This is a key role within our team to help ensure that our portfolio runs smoothly.

They will provide effective clinical study governance and study administrative support to the Neurological Disorders, Ageing, Dementias and Neurodegeneration Research Team (Division 4). This involves developing relationships and working closely with the Study Coordinators, Nurses, Practitioners, Senior Management Team, Administrators and key stakeholders to enable effective team working.

This post will suit someone with a background in research or NHS administration but equally it would suit someone who is interested in a career in research governance/ administration.

On appointment there is an induction plan tailored to the successful applicant.

Working across our portfolio the Senior Research Support Administrator;
Coordinates the set-up and close out of studies with support from the Research Team Lead.

Creates, develops and maintains systems to ensure smooth running of studies, across several different sites, and to ensure activities and processes take place in a timely way.

Actively support study finance processes.

Assemble, collate, disseminate and feedback data and information regarding study recruitment and progress.

Deal sensitively and appropriately with all communications within the team, the trust, other trusts and external sponsors and CROs.

Deal with a range of enquiries, taking appropriate action and liaising with the appropriate staff as necessary.

Work with the team to develop and maintain systems that ensure and effective management of visit schedules and appointment scheduling.

Support Study Coordinators to arrange participant visits, book transport, check study team availability.

Work with the Research Staff/Study Coordinators to develop and maintain systems that ensure a consistently high quality of data entry.

Maintain Trial Master Files, Site Files with the support of the Study Support Officer.

Process study protocol amendments, ensuring they are disseminated to and adopted by all participating NHS trusts and research teams.

Develop and maintain effective communications to foster good working relationships with all key stakeholders, internal and external contacts.

Our team is part of Division 4 Neurology and Neurodegenerative diseases with the Thames Valley and South Midlands area, as well as Ageing studies within OUH.

We are a diverse team of Research Nurses, Practitioners and Administrators. Working closely with clinicians to support and deliver research across our patient groups. The team comes from a variety of backgrounds such as Nursing, Mental Health, Psychology, Biochemistry and NHS to name a few.

**The CRN**: Thames Valley and South Midlands is one of 15 local Clinical Research Networks in the NIHR Clinical Research Network (NIHR CRN). The NIHR CRN is the clinical research delivery arm of the NHS in England, tasked with supporting the rapid set-up and effective conduct of studies, so that researchers can gather the robust evidence needed to improve treatments for NHS patients. These local Networks drive clinical research delivery performance across the locality, and champion the role of clinical research in the NHS at every level.
