We are currently looking to recruit a Full -Time Payroll Advisor (37.5 hours per week) to join our HR & Payroll Team in Loughborough to process the payroll for our employees across our Cash & Carry, Head Office and Distribution payroll. This role will be hybrid based with most of the time spent working from our head office in Loughborough or from home. There maybe a need for limited travel to our main distribution site in Nottinghamshire on occasion.

We are on the lookout for an individual with a proven background in payroll, who has an eye for detail and can build great working relationships with the teams and colleagues across the business. Key duties include;
- Ensure the 4 weekly payrolls are carried out looking after the payroll from start to completion. Including timesheet processing and HMRC submissions.
- Coordinating with the HR team to ensure correct employee data is processed for payroll.
- Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
- Investigate and resolve payroll issues.
- Preparation of annual payroll documentation such as P60’s, P11D’s and Gender Pay reporting.
- Understand our current processes and work with the wider HR team to improve our payroll processes so they are as efficient as possible.
- Be the first point of contact for all Payroll queries from employees and managers across our sites.
- Assist if needed to load new starters onto the HR/Payroll system ensuring we have captured all details correctly
- Work with the teams to generate payroll reporting that managers or the HR Director may require on a monthly and ad-hoc basis.
- Work with our pension broker to ensure correct information is passed through to set up new starters and leavers.
- Logging of sickness on the payroll systems to allow for ongoing reporting and monitoring.
- Liaising with Line Manager regarding Return to Work information.
- Provide cover when administrator is away from the business employee expenses/credit card statements ready for submission to the finance team. In line with HMRC guidelines.

If you have the experience and flare for payroll, want to join a small but hard working and passionate team, then this could be the role for you. You should have experience of running payroll from start to finish previously along with using payroll software and a good level of knowledge with Microsoft excel. Experience of using SAGE previously would be ideal but not necessary as training can be provided.
