Oxford, United Kingdom Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust Full time

The Oxford Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) is a multi-disciplinary specialist mental health team located in central Oxford. The primary goals of the CRHTT is to identify, assess, and intervene; to return the individual to his/her prior level of functioning as quickly as possible; and to lessen any negative impact on future mental health.

We are a team who provide support for people aged 18 and older experiencing mental health crisis in central and north east oxford. Our team is dedicated to the delivery of personalised quality care and supports service users in acute mental health crisis and are an alternative to inpatient admission by providing intensive care and psychosocial interventions in the community.

We provide care by facilitating home visits, medical reviews, psychology input, telephone support and facilitate supportive discharge from hospital and managing the transition back to community-based services.

We work in close partnership with Acute inpatient teams and Community Mental Health teams. Our Team is multidisciplinary and is comprised of different professionals and roles which include Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Mental health nurses, Social workers, Occupational therapists and Senior Support workers.

The CRHTT is now expanding in the geographical area that it provides support to and we are thrilled to announce opportunities for Registered Nurse Associates to join our team.

We require a Band 4 Nursing Associate who can work independently, with the support of the team leaders and the wider crisis team clinicians and can bring their own professional expertise to a fast-paced team, and who are confident in managing risk in the least restrictive way. By its nature, crisis work requires professionals who have a broad range of skills including being skilled mental health assessors with a proven ability to signpost service users towards the most effective treatment pathways. The Nursing Associate role is an important development in nursing care provision and is pivotal in helping us deliver safe and effective care to our patients.

You will participate in a duty rota of early, late or long day shifts covering a 7 day a week service but we are committed to supporting staff to balance home and work life. We are a friendly and supportive team with strong leadership and direction. Our work is interesting and varied with plenty of opportunities to learn new skills both in the workplace and via our excellent Learning & Development team. The role is predominantly based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire and may require some wider travel within the county.

We would welcome Nursing Associates who are keen to develop and further enhance their skills in a variety of areas and to help shape this exciting and developing service.
