**What we’re looking for from you to join our team**

We are currently recruiting for a Data Governance Officer to join our Business Intelligence Team.

Working with the Business Intelligence Manager, you will facilitate the implementation of our data governance framework across the Organisation.

You will be helping to ensure that data governance policies and standards are aligned with Plus Dane’s goals and objectives.

You will help to improve, develop, and implement these standards, metrics, and processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our data.

A typical day at work will involve a variety of tasks and responsibilities, which may include:

- Developing and implementing data policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of our data
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data-related issues
- Designing and implementing data quality controls to prevent errors and inaccuracies
- Providing training and support to colleagues on data governance policies and procedures

You will have a passion for data and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

You will be comfortable working with colleagues across the Organisation and have excellent communication and negotiation abilities.

**Desirable Criteria**:
In this role, it would be highly desirable if you have previous experience in data governance or data management, particularly in the not-for-profit or public sector, although this is not essential.

This experience will give you a head start in understanding our unique environment and enable you to contribute effectively. Additionally, familiarity with key data protection laws and regulations, such as GDPR and the Data Protection Act, would be a significant asset.

Your knowledge in this area will ensure our compliance and help safeguard our sensitive information.

Experience with data quality assurance and data analysis tools is also highly valued, as it will allow you to enhance our data management processes and make informed decisions.

Strong project management skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal abilities, as well as problem-solving capabilities, will be crucial in collaborating with cross-functional teams and resolving data-related issues.

**Essential Criteria**:
To thrive in this position, it is essential that you possess a solid understanding of data governance principles and best practices. Your expertise will be instrumental in upholding the standards we have in place and ensuring proper data management throughout the organisation.

A strong grasp of data management and data quality control concepts is also fundamental.

Your ability to maintain data accuracy and integrity will greatly contribute to our data-driven decision-making processes.

Prior experience in conducting data audits and assessments is highly important, as you will be responsible for evaluating and ensuring the reliability and quality of our data.

Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in data management and reporting are vital to succeed in this role.

Experience of working with Excel and a modern BI reporting platform is essential.

Additionally, exceptional organisational and time-management skills, along with the ability to work independently and proactively, are crucial as you prioritise tasks and contribute with mínimal supervision.
