Senior Planner

**We have an opportunity for a Senior Planner / Scheduler **to join our Living Space Responsive Maintenance team in Walton-On-Thames.
Wates Living Space is one of the UK’s leading providers of planned and responsive maintenance services in the social housing sector, maintaining over 500,000 homes nationwide every year.
Reporting into the Contracts Manager, you will ensure that jobs are allocated to operatives in an efficient and effective manner taking into account travelling distance and productivity of operatives. You will liaise closely with the client and ensure effective communication with all stakeholders as well as manage and supervise the on-site administration team and support the Supervisory and Management team as required
**Key Accountabilities will include**:
- Check all operatives have confirmed their work by 8.30am and tenants are informed of an potential delay by no later than 9am.
- Check system for emergencies every 30 minutes and issue emergencies within a timely manner to ensure targets are meet
- Ensure diaries are full daily and immediate attention is given when Operatives become free and work is allocated asap, scheduling works into diaries for up to 35 operatives daily
- Booking appointments with residents
- Dealing with the further works whilst operative are on site and arranging appointments
- Respond to telephone variations by seeking approval from duty surveyor so Operatives may continue on the site through to completion and update system
**We are looking for you **to have relevant experience gained from working in a similar industry and environment.
**To be successful in the role** you be an excellent communicator with the ability to problem solve, multi task and work to tight deadlines.
