Transport Planner
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Transport Planner to join our team. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the movement of goods and materials within our supply chain. This is a crucial role that requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Plan and schedule transportation routes to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to optimize logistics operations
- Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings
- Track shipments and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Resolve any transportation-related issues or delays
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities
- Utilize computer software, including Word and Outlook, to create reports and communicate effectively
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in logistics or supply chain management is preferred
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze data accurately
- Leadership skills to effectively coordinate transportation activities
Please note that all positions at our company are paid. We do not offer unpaid internships or volunteer positions.
Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
