The Post holder needs to have enthusiasm, commitment and a drive to work with cancer patients and carers. The ideal person will have expertise skills and knowledge of cancer. The ability to learn and develop there knowledge and abilities to carry out Holistic Needs Assessments on patients through the journey and to develop care plans. Sign posting to service that will support the patient to self manage is the key to success.

You will have excellent communication skills and be confident in dealing with patients both on the phone and face to face; whilst being aware of the limitations and boundaries of your expertise level and role. These key skills need to come hand in hand with demonstrable evidence of competent IT and office administration skills, along with experience of information patients systems to sustain accurate and timely electronic patient records. This job offers a great opportunity to be in a role vital to the personalised care and support agenda. With a can-do attitude, resilience and commitment to best patient care you are enthusiastic, self-motivated and have a passion for putting your patients needs first.
