We are working with one of the leading companies in Fleet Management Solutions, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager, they are looking for someone who has a forward thinking attitude who can lead from the front.

In return they offer a fantastic package with a guaranteed commission in 1st six month agreed on offer. After 6 month probationary, 25 day holiday plus bank holiday, car allowance, life assurance and pension, sick pay after 6 months.

Main Purpose of Role:
To sell bespoke fleet management solutions, products and services across a broad range of industries and sectors to meet monthly and annual sales targets.

Accountabilities
- To understand, develop and maintain the companies values and mission philosophy.
- To achieve the annually agreed sales level target set by the BDD.
- Build and deliver for sign off a business plan that will meet and exceed the set annual targets.
- To develop relationships with prospects that match the profile in order to create an opportunity pipeline to meet or exceed targets.
- Manage and own prospect pipeline from inception of phone call to a prospect or appointment through to opportunity and eventual closure of either won or lost.
- Develop strategies to successfully take opportunities through to successful conclusion.
- Create and execute high quality bid responses to prospect, framework and OJEU opportunities.
- Create and execute high quality proposals and presentations.
- Lead internal briefings on opportunities to seek the support of the internal business. - Lead bid opportunities in conjunction with the BDD/Bid Writer and/or wider business.
- To lead pricing proposals for prospects within authorised limits and seek sign off as and when required. - Utilise Head Office prospect visits with a view to enhancing the chances of successfully converting the prospect as a client.
- Complete the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system in a timely and accurate manner.
- Complete reports in a timely fashion to a high quality standard of accuracy.
- To forecast, monitor and evaluate sales performance against agreed key performance indicators, to be agreed with BDD
- Contribute and share in team meetings.
- To seek support, wherever required either from the BDD or the wider business to help you successfully complete tasks and develop.
- To work with other areas of the business to assist in gaining information required to complete proposals or bid responses within required timescales.
- Plan your weekly activity to help prioritise the tasks that need to be completed in order to successfully achieve the objectives for that week, accurately and on time.
- Attendance of external events such as exhibitions to represent Venson and develop relationships with prospects.
- Lead and carry out implementation plans to transition new prospect wins into the account management team in a timely fashion and ensuring attention to detail in communicating the needs of the client into workable processes.
- To maintain and co-ordinate, within the business development/account management team, quality procedure updates and processes in-line with the Quality manual. General
- To maintain a professional attitude, building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers.
- Produce excellent quality written work to support bid, proposal and presentation submissions
- Commitment to excellence in getting work completed ahead of time to the very highest standards.
- To act in a manner which is efficient, orderly, punctual and timely ensuring tasks are achieved within the set time-scales and meetings attended on time.
- To deal with any concerns or issues that may arise, implementing preventative improvements
- To carry out any duties deemed reasonable over and above standard duties including, deputising in other roles in periods of absence.
