The Compliance Department seeks to protect the Bank's licenses to operate by promoting and enforcing adherence with laws, regulations, rules, expectations of regulators, the standards of self-regulatory organisations, and codes of conduct / ethics in connection with the Bank's regulated activities. Compliance also take a leading role in driving a culture of compliance and ethical conduct in the Bank.

You will be supporting the Deputy Chief Compliance Officer in fulfilling a wide range of responsibilities from the delivery of key transformation and remediation efforts to the management and oversight of multiple business-aligned and central Compliance teams.

**Your key responsibilities**
- Developing remediation and change proposals that address internal and external findings and/or deliver on the Bank’s key objectives
- Managing projects across the Compliance book of work
- Creating and maintaining Compliance policies and procedures, as necessary, in line with changes in laws, rules, regulatory guidance, and industry best practice
- Serving as secretary on both cross-divisional and Compliance fora
- Supporting Compliance management by producing and reviewing management information and strategy plans

**Your skills and experience**
- Knowledge of the product offering of a universal (investment, corporate and retail) bank potentially gained through previous experience in a business, legal, risk management, testing or audit role at a financial institution, regulator, or law firm
- Holistic understanding of operational risk management frameworks including the identification, categorisation and assessment of risk, control design and implementation, and other risk mitigating measures
- Awareness of key Compliance risks (e.g., conflicts of interest, market abuse/insider dealing, antitrust collusive behaviour) and the regulatory landscape
- Strong interpersonal skills
