This is a somewhat autonomous role requiring someone with drive, motivation and the personal desire to be the very best sales and marketing person in the company. We are looking for an individual with confidence, a strong work ethic, dedication and a ‘whatever it takes’ attitude to get the job done whilst maintaining the high standards of excellence.

**Key attributes**:
HOD position to manage team (1 x MICE coordinator & 1 x Groups Sales Manager)
- Previous corporate and leisure hotel sales experience with Accor and IHG brands preferred in bedrooms & meeting rooms within the London market.
- Will be required to create a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
- Proactively identifies, qualifies and solicits new business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals.
- Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, utilise Market Intelligence reports to ensure comprehensive competitor knowledge within local territory maintained, targeting sales actions accordingly to grow market share for the Hotel.
- Attend exhibitions and networking events and be the groups brand ambassador.
- Take full ownership of hotel sales and marketing strategies with support of the managing director and hotel managers.
- Work closely with the revenue team to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet the financial needs of the hotel.
- Prepared to get involved in the day to day business with hands on approach as necessary.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to build key internal and external relationships.
- Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
- Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicated.
- Responds promptly and creatively to incoming business leads.
- Ability to influence people effectively and communicate in a way that generates excitement, enthusiasm and commitment.
- Strong leadership skills to build relationships and influence at all levels.
- Strong people management skills.
- Capability to work under pressure with mínimal supervision while maintaining high standards and attention to detail.
- Immaculately presented, extremely self driven, engaging and possessing an abundance of personality & charisma.
