Are you an experienced Security and Site Operative looking for a new opportunity? We are looking for a friendly, people focused Security and Site Operative to join our growing team. We are looking for a professional Security and Site Operative to protect and maintain our premises and assets, whilst providing a friendly and efficient service to our personnel and visitors.
The goal is to detect, deter, observe, and report.
We are a young technology led ecommerce fulfilment company, focused on helping online sellers grow their business by providing global fulfilment, we are VC funded and continue to grow at a rapid pace with the recent incorporation of several European subsidiaries and expansion to new sites in the UK.
You will be joining a young and dynamic team in our offices in Bristol. We are looking for someone with lots of enthusiasm with a desire to learn and succeed, a focused mind and a “Can Do” attitude.
**Key responsibilities for our Security and Site Operative**:
- Protect our company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences and report in detail any suspicious incidents
- Monitor and control access at building entrances, watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Diligently conduct regular observation and testing across our security and fire systems.
- Accurately report to the facility manager any faults, repairs and maintenance requirements that have been made known to you, or you have discovered yourself these need to be tracked monitored and closed.
- Warmly welcome visitors to our sites and ensure that the required personnel are alerted to their arrival you will be responsible for their site induction
- Signing in/out and escort contractors to the right area ensuring they have the correct documents
- Ensure office supplies are properly received, checked and delivered to the right person or place
- Report and record any incidents/accidents on site from Staff/Contractors/Members of the public
**Requirements**:
**What we look for from our Security and Site Operative**:
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Proven work experience as a Security and Site Operative or relevant position
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Organised and understand basic safety procedures and controls also recording testing arrangements under health and safety on site for example weekly fire alarm testing and weekly/monthly checks.
- Act as a Fire Warden in the event of an emergency (full training will be given)
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation
- Integrity and professionalism
