Customer Service Advisor

Mr Fothergill’s has been sowing the joy of gardening across the world with our impressive, high
- quality seed ranges and equipment for over 44 years. Our products are found in most garden centres as well as big retailers and we also have a blossoming direct to consumer business. We believe that gardening provides not only a good-looking lawn but supports mental health, combats loneliness and is a great way of bringing people together. We have the pleasure of selling a wonderful, purposeful product.
As a member of our Customer Service team you will provide first class support to our customers; processing incoming Mail Order/ Postal orders and payments for the direct marketing division of Mr Fothergill’s Seeds Ltd. You will delight our customers when handling queries and resolving problems whilst maintaining our customer database.
**In this role you will get to**
- Process sales orders received by post and telephone, replacement orders, stock returns and refunds ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to process
- Ensure all customer queries are responded to in a professional, helpful and timely manner.
- Deal effectively with complaints; escalating to management as required
- Accurately update and maintain system records that accurately reflect activity
- Occasionally assist in other areas of the business as and when required, during busy periods.
- Other ad hoc duties related to the role, depending on the business need
**We’re looking for people who have** a passion for providing excellent customer service and who demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. You’ll also have:
- Proven customer service experience, ideally gained within a call center type environment
- Effective organization skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- A collaborative working approach and enjoy being part of a team
- Accurate data entry skills and experience in using MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Sound knowledge of gardening and our product range would be great to have, but not essential
