**Job overview**:
**We now have a vacancy for a part time, 10 hours, Palliative Care Administrator to work at St James House in Salford.**

You will administer, maintain and co-ordinate activities of the Palliative Care Counselling Service in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and Trust polices and provide an administrative service to the team and act as the pivotal point of contact between the team members, patients and their carers, the Trust and other agencies.

**Main duties of the job**:
Support the Palliative Care Counselling Service and assist in the organisation of team meetings with the minutes and distribution of same.

Be responsible for the setting up of appointments with patients and other personnel as requested on behalf of the team.

Be responsible for all correspondence from the team. It will be necessary to work to deadlines and be adaptable to last minute changes

To be responsible for all general enquires, giving nonclinical advice to patients as appropriate

Liaise with secretaries / other health care professional/departments regarding the Palliative Care Counselling Service and patient queries

Assist in the data input of patient information as and when required.

Be responsible for the collection of audit data and maintenance of departmental databases

Assist with the collating, tracking, and filing of all data queries

Ensure the administrative requirements of the Palliative Care Counselling Service are conducted in a timely manner.

Develop own professional knowledge and skills
