Cheadle, United Kingdom Pets at Home Full time

Join our team as a Supply Planner at Pets at Home, the UK's leading pet care business. At Pets at Home, we are committed to providing the best advice, products, and care for pets and their owners. With over 450 stores, 310 Groom Rooms, and 440 First Opinion Vet Practices, we offer a fast-paced, innovative, and fun work environment where our people make a real difference. This is your chance to work for an award-winning company that puts people at the heart of everything we do.

**About the role**

As a Supply Planner, you will work on a hybrid basis from our Support Office in Handforth (Cheshire) and be an integral part of our commercial team, responsible for managing product ranges from our UK and Rest of the World suppliers. You will oversee the complete stock life cycle, ensuring the right level of inventories across our network. Your key responsibilities will include demand forecasting, stock management, cross-functional collaboration, supplier management, commercial customer awareness, and ad-hoc support.

Building genuine and sustainable relationships with our key suppliers will be crucial, as you celebrate successes and manage poor performance. You will also work with our supply base to drive initiatives that enhance end-to-end efficiencies within the supply chain. Additionally, you will maintain awareness of current trading and key competitor activities in your relevant areas.

**About you**

To succeed in this role, you should have a blend of statistical forecasting skills and market knowledge to ensure projected demand aligns with our business plan. You will be accountable for maximizing availability while achieving stock turn targets and driving efficient cash flow. Collaborating closely with our commercial team, you will contribute to finding the best balance between sales, on-shelf availability, stock holding, and cost to serve.

We are seeking an ambitious and motivated individual with a passion for self-improvement and development. While prior knowledge of supply planning or merchandising is beneficial, a strong understanding of data, statistics, and the ability to spot patterns is equally important. We have recently invested in a new forecasting and replenishment system, so familiarity with demand-driven supply chain planning software such as RELEX is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is essential.

Pets at Home is undergoing a major overhaul of our supply chain management, and we embrace the benefits of hybrid working. While our offices are located in Handforth, our colleagues typically gather twice a week. As a committed team player, you must be numerate, analytical, and a logical thinker. You should embrace change and continuously strive for improvement, working both independently and collaboratively. Your excellent time management skills will enable you to prioritize tasks effectively and focus on those with the highest impact.

Our diversity and inclusion vision is that everyone is welcome and feels part of our group. If you think you’re a good match to what we are looking for, and you share our belief that together ‘we’re better with pets’, we’d like to hear from you, whatever your background or circumstances.

**About our purpose**

Far more than a retailer, Pets at Home Group is the UK’s leading pet care specialist, fulfilling every possible pet and owner need, from food and accessories to grooming and vet services. Since 1991, we’ve been building a business around pets and their owners and we’ve set our sights on becoming the best pet care business in the world. Join us now and you can be part of that journey, developing your future as we develop ours. This is a place where you can take pride and passion in your work within an inspiring, professional team that’s focused on supporting pets and their owners to live happier lives together.

We’re driven by the wellbeing of pets and we make sure we look after our people too. We depend on your commitment and innovation, and reward it with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. Together we’ll create the future of pet care.
