This is an amazing opportunity for an Assistant Buyer who is looking for a new and exciting role and who enjoys an ambitious, fast paced and rewarding environment..

**THE ROLE**
- Responsible for raising POs and systematic PO maintenance.
- Negotiating prices and lead times, with a strong understanding of cost price management in order to meet required margins.
- Daily supplier communication, including VC’s and visits. Maintaining regular communication lines with them to tackle issues in a timely manner. To escalate issues as necessary to the Buying Manager.
- Involvement in seasonal product range reviews, with an ability to understand and interpret sales data to assist in making the best decisions for the business and challenge where necessary.
- To ensure that all product line lists are correctly maintained on the system in line with departmental deadlines.
- To understand the key sales, profit and margin drivers across the business and the impact of your role on these.
- Understanding of competitors and undertaking extensive research on this.
- Ad hoc reporting and production of information to meet the requirements of the business.

**ABOUT YOU**
- At least 2 years experience in a Buying Head Office environment as a Buying Admin Assistant or Assistant Buyer.
- Experience in a retail fashion environment is advantageous, but not essential.
- Strong Excel skills, or a willingness to learn.
- Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiation and relationship management.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work across teams and influence at all levels.
- Strong numerical skills and the ability to analyse data
