Purchasing Assistant

If you are a skilled purchasing assistant or have experience in a similar role, we invite you to explore this opportunity. As the Purchasing Assistant, you will be passionate about every aspect of developing a successful and profitable apparel collection.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Participating in weekly trade discussions, collaborating on new product development with buyers and designers.
- Managing cost evaluations, sample oversight, approvals, and fit assessments.
- Providing support to your Buyer in the daily operations and trading of your department through various tasks.
- Analyzing daily and weekly sales data.
- Presenting trade insights and essential actions to the broader Buying, Merchandising, and Design teams.
- Implementing trade responses, including product repeats or cancellations.
- Coordinating with suppliers on best-selling items.
- Collaborating with your Buyer and designers to create quick styles or collections based on Open-to-Buy (OTB) strategies.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers.
- Gathering initial pricing and negotiating effectively.
- Assisting with sample briefs and ensuring timely delivery of new samples through effective communication with suppliers.
- Conducting market research through competitor analysis.
- Compiling competitive shop reports, focusing on new styles and pricing strategies.
- Monitoring competitors for new promotions, collaborations, or product launches.
- Managing the critical path diligently.
- Communicating any delays to the wider team promptly.
- Ensuring timely fit comments and approvals.
- Supporting your Buyer with sign-off processes and trade reports, along with other administrative duties.
- Attending all fit sessions.
- Assisting with production samples for imagery purposes.
- Supporting the Buyer in supplier meetings as needed.
