Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the purchase ledger team, ensuring the smooth processing of financial transactions and maintaining accurate records. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Processing and coding GBS invoices for payment on the purchase ledger
  • Assisting in the production of payments packs to suppliers and ad-hoc payments
  • Completing regular supplier statement reconciliations and investigating any discrepancies
  • Undertaking ad-hoc tasks as required by the purchase ledger supervisor to support the team
  • Collaborating with the Treasury department as needed

Key Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in purchase ledger duties, with a good understanding of financial transactions and accounting principles
  • Knowledge of internal controls and financial regulations
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in MS Windows-based software packages, including Excel and Word
