Playgym and Cafe Assistant

We are looking for friendly, motivated person over the age of 18 to join our Babyccinos Jungle Cafe team as a Key Holder.

Babyccinos Jungle Cafe is a family-friendly playgym, located in Brighouse, boasting a wonderful indoor play area for children aged 0-6 years. Complemented by our café, we strive to create an enjoyable experience for both children and adults, offering locally sourced bakes, fresh coffee, a light food menu and a clean environment.

Roles & Responsibilities
- To lead a team and be responsible for opening up/locking up, should it be required, in a shift runners absence.
- This is a customer facing role and as a result customer service is key.
- Preparing food and beverage items to company standards, ensuring quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order taking and food preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, café and playgym area to meet and exceed standards
- Properly store and label all products
- Keeping accurate cleaning and temperature records
- Restock supplies and maintaining stock rotation
- Operating the till and serving all customers in a polite and courteous manner
- Prepare customer orders to company specifications
- Perform other duties or roles as assigned by the shift runner/manager
- You'll ensure that the café is kept clean, tidy and well organised at all times.
- Maintaining playgym rules and ensuring customers are following the safety procedures.

About You
- You are personable with excellent communication skills.
- You're happy to work as part of a close-knit team, as well as being confident, working independently and on your own initiative.
- Previous experience in a similar role is a bonus, however not essential as full training will be provided.
- You must be energetic, a team player and confident to talk to both staff and customers.
- You must have a great work attitude
- Good time management
- Basic understanding of food safety/hygiene
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- You must also be eligible to work in the UK.
- Shift cover and working weekends when required, is a must. Flexibility is very important as to cover holidays and sickness.

Hours

Part/Full time, permanent role, including weekend work as required.
Weekend availability is a must for this position to cover holidays and sickness.
- Level 2 Food Hygiene
- Barista Training
- First Aid
- DBS Check
- Fire Training

Uniform, name badge and indoor work shoes will be provided.

4 days a week, 20 hours a week. Working hours are 9am-2pm
Potential to gain additional hours in the future.
You would also be offered cover shifts on top of your regular shifts, as and when required. Flexibility to pick up additional shifts is a must.

Your holiday allowance will be calculated based on your regular shifts.
We are closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Pay is the National Minimum Wage.
