Foodscape is a London urban farming and food growing experience company, empowering people to grow their own fresh vegetables with ease, regardless of their level of expertise, available time, or space limitations.

Through our unique, subscription-based, vertical urban farms, we provide comprehensive support so our members enjoy food growing, from seed-to-table. We believe that anyone should have access to homegrown, nutritious produce, and we're here to help get our cities growing

We grow vertically using traditional organic husbandry techniques and we are looking for an experienced, commercially minded Horticulturist (food grower) to jump on board and lead operations at our Camden farm.

**The Role**

The Horticulturist will undertake the following tasks and responsibilities:

- undertaking all aspects of husbandry and production including preparation, growing and harvesting
- managing pest, disease and weed control programmes, commensurate with hygiene and health standardsensuring quality, hygiene, health and safety standards and regulations are met
- planning and organising trials to assess their effectiveness in our vertical planters
- assisting with the analysis of yields, operational costs and financial returns of horticultural operations to inform business plans
- negotiating with horticultural suppliers
- assisting with the design and delivery of farm workshops and events on occassional weekends
- provision of first-class customer advice and service to our farm members
- assist in the recruitment, management and training of junior staff and apprentices

**The Package**

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative urban farming business and play a pivotal role in the successful development and growth of Foodscape and get our cities growing.

The role is initially part-time, offering:

- £24,000 annual salary (pro-rata)
- 24 days annual holiday, plus Bank holidays (pro-rata)
- Company sick pay scheme
- Workplace pension with additional company contribution
- Overtime available

**Salary**: £12,000.00 per year
