An exciting opportunity has arisen for an administrator to join the Designated Clinical Officer team. The successful post holder will be enthusiastic and dynamic, being able to work as part of a high performing team to support the delivery of the DCO workplan and related SEND agenda initiatives.

Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) work collaboratively with parent/care forums, the Local Education Authority and other health partners in the NHS to positively influence the outcomes of children and young people with or without SEND. Additionally, HCT has excellent relationships with local commissioners which enables the therapy team to be at the forefront of innovative service delivery and improvements.

To work as part of the DCO team within HCT and Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation Trust (HPFT) to develop an effective system for monitoring Health engagement with SEND at both place and system level.

To support the DCO team with the management of projects, gathering information, writing reports and undertaking enquires to deliver the DCO/DMO (Designated Medical Officer) workplan.

To provide and coordinate administrative and secretarial services; including for example, the preparation of agendas, taking of and writing up of minutes, taking appropriate follow-up actions as and where required.

To liaise with wider Integrated Care System(ICS) teams and external partners to support the deliver the DCO/DMO workplan.

To support the Designated Medical Officer’s across Hertfordshire with defined projects where requested by DCO.

Collate, analyse and triangulate SEND data and intelligence, including audits, analysis and presentation of graphs and control charts, and prepare reports to various working groups, which will assist in evaluation of the services being provided.

Managing the electronic diary for the team, including managing and prioritising appointments as appropriate,

The post holder will work alongside other CYPT administrators to ensure that they have exposure and access to peer support and can see how the work that they are doing is improving the experience of CYP and families in Hertfordshire.

Main duties of the job
