Information Governance Officer

The Post Holder will be expected to support the Information Governance Team with minimum supervision. This will include assisting with auditing of Information Governance compliance across the Trust. The Post Holder will also provide support for specific projects and lead others such as improving defined government requirements within the Data Security and Protection Toolkit and also supporting the delivery of Data Protection obligations and play an important role in raising awareness across the whole organisation.

1. Provide administrative support to the Information Governance Team and streamline departmental procedures and workflow to promote efficient and effective use of information.
2. Organise, raise agenda and take minutes for Trust Information Governance meetings e.g. Caldicott & Information Governance meeting.
3. Design and maintain progress flows for all Information Governance audits and documentation.
4. Contribute to all aspects of service development by sharing and promoting ideas.
5. Provide advice to Trust staff on the content and location of Trust IG policies and procedures and other associated information/ documents e.g. Information Commissioners website.
6. Assist with the development and evaluation of new IG material such as staff and patient leaflets, questionnaires/audits.
