Our aim is to become a market leader in the provision of Electric Vehicle charging solutions to Local Authorities and Businesses as part of our strategy to lead the transition to zero carbon.

The goal is to undertake an ambitious electric vehicle charging installation program, deploying high volume and quality EV installations across the nation. Our aim is to make the world a better place, one charge point at a time.

The Technical Designer will work within Zest’s Operations team to produce preliminary and detailed engineering designs, up to 132kv, liaising with DNOs, to ensure the successful integration of Zest’s projects into the wider network.
- **Key Accountabilities **_

The role is responsible for the following:

- Produce Electrical designs ranging from 11kv to 132kv
- Liaise closely with external parties, including DNOs, contractors, and clients, plus other internal stakeholders and project teams to ensure the design approval and construction processes run smoothly
- Partner with the Commercial team on developing new projects
- Experience of producing project cost estimates and reports, obtaining technical or major procurement item quotations
- Representing the design team when presenting to clients, with commercial acumen
- Supporting the whole project lifecycle, attending sites as required as part of the design and planning processes
- Quality checking and signing off on works
- Mentoring and training junior members of the team
- Experience working with design software such as AutoCAD
- Plus any other duties as required by the leadership team

- Previous experience as a Electrical Design Engineer, with HV experience
- Experience working with a DNO/ IDNO to attain design approval
- Experience working on mixed use and change of land use sites

- CDM Awareness
