**An exciting new opportunity at NewsUK working in the Specialist Payroll team.**

**The Team**:You will be part of the Specialist payroll team who are responsible for various payrolls mainly based in the Republic of Ireland, UK and USA, while providing system support, including User Acceptance Testing and resolving financial reconciliation imbalances.

**Day to day you will**:

- Work with the SAP Tech support team on patches, fixes and improvement projects
- Answer system and legislation queries raised by the Payroll team
- Preparation of the US and other overseas payrolls in conjunction with 3rd party payroll providers
- Preparation of manual journals and resolving GL imbalances
- Coordinate payroll audit
- Oversee Payroll benefits and manage the production and reconciliation of Benefit Statements, P11d and P11db
- Provide cover to create BACS/SEPA Files and also to create and reconcile SMART PAYE and RTI files. Including ERR filing for Ireland.
- Ad hoc project work.

**What we’re looking for from you:
- Excellent working knowledge of Irish and UK Payroll legislation;
- Advanced Excel skills
- Tenacity and willingness to challenge at all levels
- Drive and enthusiasm make improvements and efficiencies
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- A working knowledge of SAP
