**Business Development Executive - Medical / Healthcare Insurance**

**Location: Bristol / Can be home based and remote**

**The Company**:
Capio Recruitment are working with a national insurance broker who are looking for a Business Development Executive to join their team (which is based in Bristol
- however the role can be performed remotely).

Working for one of the most respected and renowned broking firms in the UK, you will work in specialist niche areas of insurance (Medical Malpractice).

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced BD Executive to join the team and support their continued growth and success.

**The Role**:
Working in a specialist area of insurance (Medical Malpractice) you will focus on developing relationships and placing new business into specialist insurer (underwriters) markets. Some business will be placed into specialist schemes and binders however openmarket broking will be required. You will have an autonomous role which requires new business and personable skills, combined with technical insurance knowledge and broking skills.

You will have some lead opportunities available to you, however the majority of new business will come from networking and self-generated efforts, looking to grow your knowledge and reputation in the specialist sector you operate in, medical insurance.

This is an important role and an excellent opportunity to develop and strengthen the company’s strong market presence. The role is results-orientated so a driven and focused individual who seeks to be visible and commended based on performance is ideal.

- Join a forward thinking insurance brokerage, their reputation within the insurance market will already have you one step ahead
- Liaising with members of the commercial team to develop opportunities whilst assessing risks and viability
- Ensuring company procedures are adhered to at all times
- Using in depth research and market knowledge to continually develop and expand portfolios across various healthcare businesses
- Developing internal and external relationships to ensure opportunities are maximised to their full extent

**Skills**:

- Proven experience in a relatable role in the insurance industry, ideally within the medical / healthcare sectors
- Problem solving skills and the ability to build relationships and knowledge of the insurer market
- Demonstrable track record of success and tangible outcomes to support objectives
- Excellent stakeholder skills with a 'can-do’ attitude
