**Location**: Edmonton / Staines

**Contract**: Permanent - Full time

**What will you be responsible for?**

As a Communications Officer, you'll be working within the HR / Communications team, supporting them in the internal and external communications including the execution of the local communication plan.

Your day to day will include:

- Working collaboratively with the client(s) and wider Kier Group / Transportation communications teams to positively promote contract activity
- Developing annual communications plan, including seasonal messaging and campaigns, creating, posting and measuring social media content where applicable
- Supporting the contract senior management team / Contract Director, coordinating and liaising locally with media outlets and managing crisis communications
- Ensuring all messages are aligned to Kier's brand, style, messaging guidelines and values, copywriting for a range of channels and audiences including press releases and internal communications
- Responsible for all internal communications including newsletters; business updates; communications ambassadors; employee forums; staff briefings; Kier's intranet, Your Kier and employee surveys

- You have experience within or as part of a Communications team in a large business
- Can liaise with business leaders, clients and stakeholder and show confidence in networking and building relationships at all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
