Excavation / Repair Operative

Jet Aire Services (Darlington depot) have an exciting opportunity for an additional Excavations / Repair Operative to join a growing division within the company who specialise in remedial and repair works within the water & waste industry.
The role would include attending jobs wherever required. There will be some travel and working away.
**Purpose of the Role**
To carry out all aspects of drain and clean water installation and repair, including excavating, trench support and reinstatements. We also carry out a number of different types of small civils type works
**Key Responsibilities**
Working in confined spaces
Drain installation and repairs including Section 104 work
- Water supply installation, reroutes and repairs
- Installation of sewerage treatment plants
Thorough completion of site/works information on a tablet device
Carry out work in line with company health and safety policy and procedures
Good time management and working efficiently
Completing Drivers Hours Books and Vehicle Checks (Defect books)
General maintenance and upkeep of vehicles and equipment
Be prepared to work weekends and away from home as required
Undertake all training and development as required
To understand risk assessments and to assess according to safe systems of work.
Able to understand and carry out work as set out in a specification.
Undertaken training on General Health & Safety awareness/ Risk Assessment awareness/Traffic Management/ Use of PDA as required by the company.
- Ability to use small plant and equipment.
**Experience and Qualifications**
Driving license required
CSCS Card required
Full Street Works accreditation (operative and / or supervisor)
Excavator operator up to 10 ton (preferred)
Forward tipping dumper (preferred)
Confined Space Accreditation - Medium Risk
EUSR - deep excavation / shoring (preferred)

Drain lining and patching experience (preferred)
Must be able to work as part of a team or under own initiative
