**Purpose of the role**

We are looking for a Lead Systems Trainer to assist the Product Platform Training Manager in ensuring that staff working on the Aventra platform and other relevant projects are technically trained and demonstrably competent to carry out their tasks and responsibilities in line with current legislation and industry standards.

**What are my key responisibilites?**
- To lead on the development of technical onboard systems, software development, and fault finding.
- Carry out diagnostics training (E-learning packages, theoretical classroom training, practical on-site delivery).
- Support in the ongoing development of upskilling competence in basic and advanced systems knowledge.
- Develop and deliver blended learning solutions to support advanced technical development in onboard train systems e.g. ETCS/CBTC, PIS, AWS/TPWS, Propulsion, TCMS etc.
- Develop and deliver blended learning solutions to support capability development in technical learning e.g. Doors, Brakes, Couplers, Toilets, HVAC, PIS etc.

**What do I need to qualify for this job?**

**Essential**:

- Trainer's and Assessor's qualification
- Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
- IT literate in using a range of MS Office programmes and modern digital technologies
- Experience of designing and delivering earning to a group in a face to face and virtual setting

**Desirable**:

- Internal verification qualification
