At Leonardo, we have exciting opportunities covering multiple levels within our Software Quality Assurance Team in Edinburgh. This is a great opportunity to come join our team, to support the business growth within Edinburgh.

As we enter a new phase in our journey, we have several opportunities to come join our Software Quality Assurance Team. The roles we are recruiting for are:

- Software Quality Team Leader
- Principle Software Quality Engineers
- Senior Software Quality Engineers

These roles will be based across of a range of Leonardo Business Products within our Edinburgh facility: working directly with our engineering teams and with our internal project teams and customers. You will be an integral member of the Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

Focussing on:

- creation and maintenance of software quality assurance plans in accordance with contractual conditions and company standards
- estimating software quality assurance resources required to support projects
- assessing ability of subcontracted companies to perform software development to required standards
- assessing projects for compliance with software development plans and processes
- be fully aware and engaged with the IPT risks and opportunities
- reviewing software plans, requirements, design, test specifications, and test results
- participating in software lifecycle reviews
- auditing software development activities
- performing software conformity reviews and physical/functional configuration audits
- verifying the release of deliverable software

**What we need from you**:

- Further education and experience ideally in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or experience in Defence Electronics or similarly "complex" industry.
- Be able to demonstrate knowledge within the areas of AS9100 / ISO9001 and Continuous improvement.
- Knowledge and practical experience of software quality
- Be a logical thinker, capable of harvesting complex data into actions with practical solutions that supports business goals, in 'the language of the business'.
- Have good interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style across all functions of the business.
- Have demonstrated experience working in high precision manufacturing environment.
