**PROFILE**

As caseworker Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for all staff in relation to casework and safeguarding concerns, however there will be an expectation to support the Initial Assessment team when required. It is essential that you have knowledge of and experience of dealing with safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.

The role of Coordinator will involve:

- Being competent and confident in providing monthly case supervision to victim caseworkers in the team.
- Providing a solution focussed approach to addressing challenges, identifying areas for improvement and establishing training needs, monitoring performance and staff motivation.
- Providing accurate statistical information to enable the manager to complete and submit statistical reports.
- Deputise for the manager, as and when required.
- Undertake quality assurance audits of all case management systems and for providing feedback to team members and the manager.
- Ensuring staff databases are fully up to date with regards to holiday requests, time sheets, sickness and expenses.
- Review staff approaches to ensure that the team are working productively and smartly.
- Support the recruitment and training of Derbyshire Victim Services volunteers
- Support developments in the service.
- Be available for team support from the hours 8am-5pm (on a rota basis with the manager).

Derbyshire Victim Services have positive relationships with partner agencies, and this is something we pride ourselves on - you will be expected to build and maintain these relationships.

The skills and qualities you will need to do the job well are:
**COMMUNICATION**:

- You will need to communicate with your team, a wide range of professionals and service users. You will be required to provide detailed and accurate reports regarding the service and will be required to undertake presentations in various settings regarding work undertaken.

**Leadership Skills - **You will need to motivate a team of professional people, provide effective line management, provide professional supervision, lead by example and ensure all team members feel valued and recognised in their roles.

**Flexibility
- **You will be required to support all services within the Derbyshire Victim Services contract, therefore you will need to take a flexible approach to your work.

**Motivation-** The role of coordinator can be quite demanding and fast paced, but is also incredibly rewarding. We want you to embrace the role and face complexities in a positive manner. As first point of contact for the team, you will need to ensure the team is motivated at all times to ensure contractual requirements are met, whilst supporting individual staff wellbeing.

**IT Capable-** You will be asked to record and monitor accurate data; therefore, it is essential that you are proficient in using:

- Electronic calendar
- Word
- Excel
- Microsoft TEAMS/Zoom

**Safety
- **We want you to work safely in all aspects of your role. This will mean following our own internal policies and procedures and will require you to consider safety in relation to the following aspects:

- Safeguarding
- Lone Working
- General Data Protection Regulation
- Confidentiality

**WHAT TO EXPECT**

We strive to create balance between working from home and working collaboratively with all colleagues. The role covers all of Derbyshire and you may be asked to travel to other areas for training, meetings and staff development purposes. Expenses are fully covered.

- Starting salary £25,500 rising to £27,580 at the end of Year 2 in role
- 6% employer pension contribution
