OBM are currently are seeking to appoint an Expeditor on behalf of their Operator client based in Dyce.

The Expeditor will undertake the expediting of materials and services on behalf of our client to ensure that material is being delivered to meet the client's timescale requirements.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Liaise with vendors, logistics providers and inventory teams to mobilise required material and equipment in line with required timescales
- Review expediting reports to confirm status of orders/sub-orders and validate agreed schedules
- Maintain and review PO, ETD and ROS dates
- Check controlled import and dual use item requirements
- Execute and update logistics with details and shipping documentation
- Deployment of advanced shipping notification
- Review maintenance plans and comply with the stage gate process to ensure timely/safe delivery
- Auditing transportation costs executed
- Liaise with operations to ensure effective material execution for work scopes
- Establishes priorities, assigns workloads and manages expediting team performance
- Review and manage the more difficult and complex aspects of the expediting workload.
- Detailed understanding of the supplier delivery obligations form terms and conditions of purchase
- Review and interpret supplier production plans/schedules, identify delivery improvement opportunities and negotiate delivery improvements / slippage recovery plans
- Creation of daily expediting reports in SAP
- Expedite purchase orders daily with priority focus and updating of SAP with expediting status
- Continually set expediting follow up dates in SAP and third party systems
- Monitor the progress of receipt and return of supplier documentation
- Notify operations of any potential schedule slippages
- Negotiate improved delivery / recovery plans where required
- Visit suppliers on request of the client as required
- Maintain an auditable file of all relevant purchasing documentation for each purchase order
- Attend relevant campaign daily / weekly planning meetings
- Production of weekly reports / stats / KPIs as required

**Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours)**:

- Practical expertise in using and interrogating, SAP or equivalent ERP system, to a high level
- Strong team player with excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Pro-active and articulate in front of clients with a focus on delivering excellent customer service
- Strong attention to detail and excellent planning and organisational skills
- IT literate, with experience in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Demonstrable track record of expediting experience demonstrating results

**Minimum Qualifications/Training**:

- UK Full driving licence
- Degree qualification in logistics, engineering or similar
