A fantastic opportunity to join an established and highly successful company based in Wakefield who are seeking to recruit an Import/Export Administrator to strengthen their team and plan for future succession to Export Manager.

The main purpose of this role is to process sales orders, using Sage ERP X3, from acknowledging the order to organising its exportation. This will involve liaising with clients and handling general queries, predominantly associated with importation and exportation. Parking on site, excellent benefits including 25 days holiday.

**Import/Export Administrator duties include**:

- Responsible for processing and progressing customer orders, enquiries and quotations - UK and export
- Liaising with the Production Team regarding production plans and orders
- Creating shipping documents using Formwise - worldwide as appropriate
- Organising paperwork for imported products - worldwide. Also includes organising the imports on behalf of related companies
- Negotiating freight costs and contacting freight agents etc. as necessary
- Finalising certificates of shipment and other documents as required
- Creating monthly Intrastat Imports and EC Sales reports and inputting onto the HMRC website
- Liaising with accounts department regarding freight invoices and other purchase invoices as required
- Maintaining up-to-date records of customers’ price lists
- Distributing website enquiries onto the relevant sales managers and distributors
- Working together and liaising closely with export department
- Organising shipments
- General administration
- To ensure the company operates within the relevant export laws and procedures

**Skills**
- Prior knowledge in import/export is essential
- Computer literacy skills - previous experience of a Sage/Formwise system is desirable but not essential
- Customer service skills
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail
- Organisation skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
