We have a role available in the DWP Employee Transfers Team as a Transfers Consultant.

For this role we’re looking for someone who is confident engaging with senior stakeholders and other HR departments to provide expert advice and guidance, and someone who can build on their existing HR or policy knowledge to become an expert in a specialist area.

**Job description**:
We work across DWP with HR Business Partners, Commercial, Government Legal Department, Policy teams, Business areas and Project teams and we collaborate with Other Government Departments and external supplier HR teams.

We focus on providing bespoke support, tailored to the nature of the transfer and provide a smooth transfer experience for transferring employees.

Our Transfers Consultant will work on a small team of Transfer Consultant and Support staff.

You should have meticulous attention to detail, a broad understanding of HR policies, strong organisational and leadership skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Investigating and responding to queries via our shared inbox, which may involve liaising with several stakeholders to understand and interpret, before clearly and succinctly communicating advice or guidance.
- Working on activities to improve the processes and procedures for the team or users, including intranet guidance.
- Attending meetings to support HRBP’s/ project teams with TUPE/ COSoP advice and/ or note-taking more complex transfers in support of the SEO/G7.
- Undertaking activities within the TUPE process to allow smooth transfer of staff, for example, drawing up timelines, conducting terms and conditions comparisons, or developing measures letters.
- Leading on non-complex transfers, including, building stakeholder relationships, challenging leaders, commissioning legal advice, and setting up change requests for GRS and SSCL.

**Essential criteria**
- ** Lead Criteria**: Explain how you quickly establish professional relationships with a range of stakeholders at different seniority levels, demonstrating personal leadership working on own or with others to deliver against multiple priorities
- Evidence of investigating complex information, data, or HR policies to inform decisions on people management issues
- Demonstrate strong communication skills when communicating complex matters clearly and succinctly to a wide range of audiences both verbally and in writing.

**Desirable criteria**
- Knowledge of TUPE and COSoP transfer legislation and procedures and experience of working as part of a HR function delivering an employee transfer under TUPE regulations/ COSoP
- Knowledge or experience of HR casework or interpreting/ developing HR policies
