We have the following exciting opportunities to join our Housing and Outreach Support Team, within our supported accommodation units. The Assistant Housing Project Workers will have strong practical skills with the ability to relate well to young people.

About the role

As an Assistant Housing Project Worker some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Ensuring that Health & Safety checks of communal areas and equipment are completed over the weekend & communal areas are regularly cleaned, issues are logged and actioned appropriately.
- Carrying out deep clean and decoration of the flats/room when they become vacant and also assisting in decoration of communal areas where required.
- Assisting in keeping the garden maintained
- Working in partnership with the Housing Project Worker to ensure room inventories are completed and new furniture is ordered and built where necessary.
- Completing staff risk assessments for any manual handling such as decorating or furniture building that is required at weekends.

About you

Do you have experience or knowledge of managing Health & Safety and would you like to develop these further within a supported housing project, working with care leavers? If so this role could be for you.
- The ability to work accurately and flexibly and have a hands on approach to performing tasks
- An understanding of Health and Safety, safeguarding and equal opportunities
- Experience of practical skills within the home, such as basic DIY and decorating
- Experience and ability to undertake domestic tasks
- Strong organisational abilities including: time management, creative-thinking, problem-solving and multitasking.
